Officers and Committee

The Management Committee is elected at the Annual General meeting and consists of:
Three Moderators, each elected for three years, each serving as Presiding Moderator for one year;
Secretary, Treasurer, Journal Editor and three others (with powers to co-opt)
and one representative appointed by CHRISET, the charitable Trust which administers the finances of CHRISM.

The current incumbents of these positions are:

Presiding Moderator, 2006-2007, Margaret Joachim

 

 

            
 

Margaret is a senior manager at a computer services company and is very much at the centre of the current trend for businesses to outsource their IT services. She lives in West London with her husband Paul and is an MSE in London Diocese.

 

 

Moderator, presided in 2006--2007, Peter King




 

Peter is a full time Immigration Adjudicator, a Deputy District Judge( Magistrates Court), a Deputy Judge Advocate and a part time legal member of the Immigration Appeals Tribunal. He trained for the Priesthood at Westcott House Cambridge. Ordained in 1980, he served for several years as an NSM at St John's Notting Hill Gate before moving to Mortlake, where he is part of the Team Ministry. He is Dean for MSE for the Kingston Episcopal Area, member of Diocesan Synod and a member of the Penal Concerns Group for the Dioceses of London and Southwark.

Pauline Pearson

Pauline is a Lecturer at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and lives in the city with her husband and daughter.  She is one of the lively band of MSEs in the North East, with the Diocese of Newcastle. 

 

 

 

Secretary

Catherine Binns
 

Catherine was ordained Deacon in the Diocese of Manchester in the summer of 2007 and is a Nurse Practitioner in the neo-natal unit of one of the regions leading maternity hospitals.

 

 

Treasurer
Susan Cooper

Susan took over as Secretary from Phil Aspinall at the 2006 AGM, and was translated to Treasurer in 2007.  She lives in Harrow, works in London as a Government Actuary, is a Reader in the Church of England and member of General Synod.

 

 

Journal Editor
Rob Fox

Rob works for HM Revenue & Customs (note the emphasis!) managing technical  trainers and training delivery,  Based near Manchester he has a national brief with a small, multi-located team.  A keen runner and product of the Northern Ordination Course, he is part of the ministry team in the team parish of Ashton-under-Lyne, near Manchester.

Paul Romano

Paul is Chief Solicitor to Glasgow City Council (his workload has just increased with the award of the 2014 Commonwealth Games to the city).  He is an ordained MSE in the Scottish Episcopal Church.

 

 

Phil Aspinall

Phil is a risk management consultant providing process safety, health and environmental support and training to the chemical, pharmaceutical and oil & gas industries world-wide. After 25 years with Courtaulds, he now works for Amey VECTRA, based in the Solihull office. Phil was ordained an Anglican priest in 1990 in Coventry diocese, and has a strong commitment to developing work focussed ministry, lay and ordained. He is a member of the IMA, ICF and CIPL.

 

 

Mike Rayner

Mike is an MSE who is a researcher specialising in health issues.  He lives and works in Oxford and will progressively take over as Editor of "Ministers-at-Work" early in 2008.
